France forward Kylian Mbappe scored two magnificent goals as he inspired France to a 2-1 win against a feisty Denmark which sent them into the World Cup knockout stages.
After a cagey first half which ended goalless despite France dominating, they failed to convert chances. However, the second half came alive as Hernandez linked up with the electric Mbappe, whose shot deflected off the heel of Andreas Christensen to give France the lead in the 61st minute. It was dramatic later when Denmark levelled seven minutes later as Barcelona defender Christensen made up for the deflection by blasting a powerful header past French keeper and Captain Hugo Lloris.
Meanwhile, Mbappe saved the best for last as he turned in a fast counter to register his second goal and helping France to Qualify for the round of sixteen with a game to spare.
