Let the world Pray for Pele

Is the inevitable here for Pele after been moved to end of life department in the hospital? Yet tributes are beginning to pour in for a man who is the face of football.

Born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, but better known as Pelé aged 82, the years have been eventful because he has brought joy and pure happiness as his own service to mankind through sheer display of football talent.

All his years and greater part of his youthful years was dedicated to football which culminated him winning three world cup titles first in 1958 as a starry eyes 17 years old, 1962 and the best and unequalled, 1970 in Mexico.

It was therefore no surprise that he has been bestowed with the tag; GREATEST OF ALL TIME.

Such that he attracts to himself huge attention if he attend any World Cup tournament since after retirement as the cynosure of all eyes.

Always the poster boy of the FIFA World Cup and catches all of the paparazzi as he adds values to football with his interviews and predictions.

Sickness which is associated with age has been taking its toll on him even as recent reports suggest that he has stopped responding to chemotherapy and moved to palliative care.


The world can only pray for him at a trying moment even though life belongs to God, he has contributed immensely to humanity in making the world a better place. So, whatever happens, Pele's place and impact can never be

erasee nor surpassed. Such was his impact that his whole career was scandal free. His kind of person comes once in a lifetime, a rarebreed and one that elucidates the wonders of creation.
