Much Ado about Newcastle's 70 Year Wait For a Domestic Trophy

Seventy years of waiting to lay hands on a silver ware caused Some to weep with tears of unbridled joy.  Even Some flung their hands to the skies, thinking perhaps of those loved ones who have long gone. Surely, they would have given everything to be here. Some screamed so loud out of  ecstasy as if they were part of exorcism..

Such is the cruelty of the years which seemed like an ENDLESS CURSE.

When the final whistle Sounded and Newcastle United has beaten Liverpool 2-1, thereby winning their first trophy for 56 years and first domestic trophy for 70 years, after all the mockery by other fans for their near misses.

Many Newcastle's fanatical and long-suffering fans clenched their fists and celebrate in estacy because they  have spent the last seven decades being somebody else's PUNCHLINE.

Whichever anyone sees it, Newcastle are one of the great tribes of the English game, so winning this trophy is the beginning of a journey towards ENDURING GREATNESS.
